Language as Props is a series of publications investigatingthe East Asian inscriptions in Hollywood cinema and video games that are sometimes inexplicable, encouraging reflection on prop makers to hire or collaborate with East Asian creatives of descent. The first edition explores the inscriptions found in the mise-en-scène of Hollywood Cyberpunk cinema with the likes of the Blade Runner franchise, Ghost in the Shell (2017) and many more.
